Family Night Movies

Get the popcorn and hit your favorite spot in front of the TV. The one thing that will never grow old and has already become a staple in so many households is family movie night. Of course, the success of your family night depends heavily on the movie. If it’s too intense then it’s not going to be enjoyable for the little ones and if it’s too childlike it will never keep your middleschoolers from playing their PSPs during the movie.

So, as usually parents have to find a delicate balance. To get you started, I’ve put together a list of movies with ratings of PG and PG13 many of which are animated. Check out my movie review section as I will be going more in depth as to what to expect from each of the recommended titles.

In addition to reviewing the movies, I will also be adding a list of trivia questions about the movie. This is a fun way to start a family conversation after the movie and you can even make it a game with small prizes!

I have my favorites(including some oldies but goodies), but I would also love to get your input on movies that you recommend adding to the list. Please feel free to contact me if you have any titles that you think should be reviewed or ones in which were a big hit at your own family night.

Have fun and see you at the movies!
