Terra Sweets and Beets Chips

Terra's Sweets and Beets chips are potato chips, with crinkles in them - but made out of sweet potato and beets. This gives them a healthy edge.

The chips are, of course, either orange or reddish in color, but the flavors are quite nice. They are crunchy, hold up a dip well, give a good texture of crunch. That is of course because they're just about made from potatoes.

You get 11g net carbs per serving of 12 chips. While this will be a lot for brand new low carbers, it's a perfect snack amount for someone who is more completely in low carb.

I did find a lot of broken chip bits in the bottom of the bag, but it's hard to know if that's because of the chip makers or because of bad bag boys :) I'll try to keep an eye on this with future purchases to see if I see a pattern forming.

You do get some nutrition here - 15% Vitamin A, 6% Vitamin C and so on. Still, I wouldn't call chowing down on chips as a healthy way to live. So stick with broccoli, celery, cauliflower, etc. for most of your dip eating. Sure, if you're having a party, or are completely craving chips, then this is better than potato!
