Southern Cooking Newsletter

Southern Cooking is a time honored tradition in our country. The food of the south has been around since the founding of our nation and has ties back to many European roots.

In most small southern communities it is almost like taking a step back in time. Families still work the gardens together to raise food for the harvest, canned goods are a staple in every home, and local entertainment is focused around preparing or eating food in some way. This is a culture that is unfamiliar, yet intriguing to many around the world.

Southern Cooking can help. Each week, I’ll have a new article to help you succeed in learning more about the south's customs and help you in learning to cook authentic southern dishes, just like good old granny used to make. By signing up for the weekly newsletter, you’ll know what the topic of the week is and will know immediately when a new article is posted on my site. The newsletter will not take up much space in your inbox and is a short and simple reminder that I have posted some new content.

To sign up, look to the right of this article. You’ll see a box labeled Free Newsletter. Just type in your email address and you’re done. You do not have to provide any more information about yourself and your privacy will be respected, none of your information is sold or shared with anyone. In fact I won't see your e-mail address at all unless you e-mail me directly or your e-mail bounces and I receive a bounce notice. You can unsubscribe at any time.

Once you sign up, you’ll receive a confirmation notice. This just lets you know if your spam filter is letting us through. If you don’t get one, you’ll want to set up your e-mail filters to accept mail from us. If you don't see a confirmation letter in your bulk or spam folder either you may have entered your e-mail address into the sign-up box wrong.

Newsletters may also be used at times to inform you of an upcoming vacation I may be taking or a family emergency. I will not use a newsletter to spam you with links to products or buy it now schemes. This is solely to keep you, the reader, up to date with the latest happenings here at Southern Cooking.

So, sign up and let’s get started!
