Known as the “Angel of Healing,” Raphael is the archangel over all the angels of healing, and patron saint (or angel!) to many healers. Archangel Raphael has been called “the chummiest of angels” and this I wholeheartedly believe. As a holistic healer, I call upon Archangel Raphael when I work with my clients, and have found him to always have a great sense of humor. Sometimes he chides me if I let my mind wander, or if I forget and ask for help toward the end of the session rather than at the beginning. I get the feeling that sometimes he’s laughing at me rather than with me, but no matter, I always feel lighter and more loving when he joins me in a healing session. And my clients seem to like it too!
Along with healing issues, Archangel Raphael can also be very helpful when it comes to walking a spiritual path. Most of us can probably say that walking the path can be a bit challenging as we face daily (sometimes hourly) obstacles to our own spiritual growth. Archangel Raphael is considered one of the Virtues in the choir of angels, and the Virtues are here to shine spiritual light upon humanity, and spread love, laughter and joy. Archangel Raphael takes great delight in spreading love and joy as he helps others on their path to enlightenment.
He is also considered an angel of communication. Call upon Raphael when you have a message to get across to others. Whether it is through email, public speaking, an article or book, or simply having a heart-to-heart talk with someone, calling upon Archangel Raphael will help to ensure that your message comes across clearly and concisely.
Anyone can work with Archangel Raphael (don’t think that because he’s an archangel that he’s too important to mess with our little human goings-on); all that’s required is an open mind and an open heart. The Archangels are all powerful, and can be anywhere and everywhere at the same times. So if you call him for help, that doesn’t take him away from someone else who also needs his help. Don’t feel that you can’t ask for assistance because your problem isn’t as big as someone else’s. The angels want to help, but can’t intervene unless we ask them to.
Archangel Raphael has been known to take mortal form and walk amongst us. He truly loves people, and wants to help. Call upon this great archangel for any help you may need with healing, enlightenment or communication. And remember that you don’t need to be a psychic to work with him (or any of the angels for that matter). Angels have a way of making their presence known to us. Pay attention to your feelings and your thoughts, and keep your eyes open for synchronicities letting you know the angels are there.
And don’t be surprised if a rather chummy stranger pops into your life one day spreading love and laughter, and then mysteriously disappears, leaving you with a sense of joy and inspiration. You have probably just been visited by an angel, unawares!
