Next to the final Duramed FUTURES Tour to be held on August 21 – 23 at the Golf Club of Felicia in Harrisburg, PA it is called the Turkey Hill Classic with Head Professional Michael Carricito with the Pro-Am events will be held on August 19 -20. The First Tee of Susquehanna Valley will benefit from this golf event. The purse is $110,000 with first prize of $15,000 going to the winner and $10,000 for second place.

The Turkey Hill Classic is played on the Felicia Resort and Golf Club on 750 acres of Golf, Spa and Gardens set along Fishing Creek Valley in the Blue Mountains. This club is located ten miles from Harrisburg the capital of Pennsylvania as their web site says Felicita means Italian for “great happiness”. This is a championship golf course in a garden-themed setting with club house, grille, full bar and meeting rooms.
Felicita is one of the most beautiful and challenging golf courses in the area. William and David Gordon designed this mountain environment in its natural setting. They also have named the different holes such as #1 as Zen, #2 as Magnolia with #3 as Alpine. All golf holes have four different choices of tees with a new irrigation system installed in 2006. The course if open to the public but has private memberships available with special discounts for members at the resort.
The golf course challenges all golfers abilities as from the Black Tees it plays 6,854 yards, white tees play 6316, silver tees play 5798 and purple tees play 4,775 yards. The pace of play should take three hours and forty five minutes The course also have all the practice areas such as driving range, chipping green, putting green and practice bunker shots. It sounds like an ideal setting for the Duramed FUTURES Tour as with this beautiful and challenging golf course it should be a great tournament.
