Moonlight on the Magic Flute by Mary Pope Osborne

Guest Author - Taisha Turner

Mary Pope Osborne writes Moonlight on the Magic Flute, Magic Tree House Books #41. Sal Murdocca illustrates the mystery book. The book of a hundred twenty-eight-pages is for kids between four and eight-years-old as a read-a-loud. Older children, tweens, can read independently the action adventure book.

Jack and Annie have a new set of Merlin Missions. This time the siblings are to give aid to people who will later give happiness to millions of people. These individuals are off track and need encouragement. This where Jack and Annie enter the picture, they are the catalysts.

With the aid of the time portal, magic tree house, brother and sister are in 18th century Vienna, Austria. They find themselves dressed in the local fashion. The Frog Creek Kids have an invitation to attend a ball at the Summer Palace of Empress Maria Theresa. Will another guest be the person who needs their aid? How will the Wand of Dianthus come to Jack and Annie’s aid?

Mary Pope Osborne writes another great installment in her popular Magic Tree House Series. The historical story book combines history with mystery and adventure. She has a winning combination. Juveniles await the next early chapter book release with bated breath. Parents and teachers love the series because of the clean fun and children want to read them.
