White Cemetery and Cuba Road

White Cemetery and Cuba Road
The little graveyard called White Cemetery is located in northern Illinois. A very old cemetery, with burials from as long ago as before the civil war is in Barrington, Illinois near old Cuba Road which connects Buffalo Grove with Lake Zurich and Barrington.

There have been eyewitness reports for many years of white orbs and foggy figures floating in the cemetery. The orbs have been glimpsed moving through the cemetery, over the fence, and even out onto the road and fields. The ghostly entities are often seen near the fence and also by the trees. They appear and disappear intermittently.

Eyewitnesses of the paranormal activity in White Cemetery have included local police officers and paranormal researchers who have often videotaped many of the anomalies.

Many spectral images appear and disappear in this area, including a black car, an old large house, once a sanitarium, that burned down inexplicably in the 1920s, a mobster with a cigar in his mouth, and an elderly woman carrying a lantern who tries to get drivers to stop.

Another interesting experience that witnesses report is of a large group of people gathered around a huge white fire in a field near an abandoned house on the far east end of Cuba. The white “flame disappears in a flash of white light,” and so does the group of people standing around.

An entity known as Cuba Road Charlie is often seen walking barefoot down the road near the cemetery at dusk.

One observer had an interesting experience in the dark early morning hours on a day in January of 2008. The witness reported a bicycle with a headlight was coming toward him about a quarter mile away. As they drew nearer to each other, the bicycle split into five different bicycles with headlights for a second or two, then all disappeared suddenly in front of White Cemetery. A few days later at the same time of morning, the witness passed a man riding a bicycle by the cemetery.
