Bra Sense

Guest Author - April Alisa Marquette

You know, we discuss beauty every week...and there happens to be something that I've wanted to broach for a while now -- shapewear. I'd like to discuss it because we truly want to cover all things beautiful; and no ethnic beauty can afford to discount what she wears beneath her clothing. Sure, your hair is coiffed, you know your undertones and what foundation flatters your particular skin tone. You've got smoking eyes and pouty lips, or you can create them when you get all gussied up; you even know what clothes and swimwear will most flatter your curvaceous body. However, all of those things are seen on the outside, but what about beneath all of that, on the inside? What about the basics? The same way we need to know what foundation to wear on our faces, we also need to know the wonders that foundation garments will work for our precious bodies.

Sure, if you're a tween, a teen, or even twenty-something, you may not need to know as much about shapewear as a woman who may have lived a little longer. But then again, younglings, you too need this discussion, because those lovely rounded twin 'gurlz' and gams of yours will not remain that way forever. Those of us who are experiencing ah... 're-shaping' can honestly say amen to that; thus my reason for wanting to discuss shapewear, brassieres in particular, today.

Did you know that a bra can be one of the most important pieces in a woman's shapewear arsenal? First because it can reshape and sometimes even re-size one. Then it is important, because like Botox, it can help one not to look old, by shelving the gurlz -- who may have begun to droop a little, or a lot. Then the right bra can also create an enchanting, smooth youthful shape, no matter our size or age. The right one can cause us to appear pounds thinner, but most of all, this little sling can aid one to feel beautiful, thereby elevating confidence as well one's self, and body, image.

If you've got boob spillage, out of the sides or the top of your bra, or if you've got fat globules swelling from areas, like say the back...then the series on bras and shapewear that I'm proposing to do, just may be for you. If your bra resembles a piece of armor, and sets off metal detectors in the airport, or while wearing it, your gurlz poke through shirts or sweaters, and resemble torpedoes, then yes, we definitely need to talk.

I propose to show you how the right bra will work wonders for you. It is going to become your not so expensive breast-lift, if you need one. Should you need a boost, or perhaps a bit more fullness, or if yours are larger gurlz that simply now choose to lie flat, we can discuss that too. We will discuss fit, and cup size, band size too, tightness, underwire, and no discussion would be complete without brassiere terms, or without us talking color. Ethnic Beauties, there is a whole world of bra sense out there, and we will share, so that in the future when you choose, lacy or smooth, functional or fun, you will know what will best suit you! And this I promise, you, nor the gurlz will be disappointed.
