Sugar Free Belgian Truffles

Sugar Free Belgian Truffles
It doesn't matter what type of diet you follow. These sugar free handmade Belgian chocolate truffles by A Bountiful Harvest are VERY tasty.

There are numerous sugar free options, but we tried out the truffles. There are other choices out on the market for straight chocolate, but we haven't found any handmade sugar-free truffles out there yet.

They were GREAT. Powdery on the outside, soft and creamy on the inside, with a great texture and flavor. There are no preservatives, no additives, and each order is made fresh for you. That of course means you should eat it promptly, but I really don't think that'll be a problem.

There are a number of great flavors in the assortment, although I like the straight chocolate best myself. The sweetener used is maltitol, but really when you make rich chocolate concoctions you don't have to use a lot of sweetener. That being said, it didn't say on the box OR on the website just how much maltitol is in here or how many carbs are in a truffle. I'm researching that informatin and will post when I have it.

That being said, whatever the value is on these truffles has got to of course be less than the carbs in a sugar-full truffle set. So you are definitely "doing better" if you have these truffles instead of sugary truffles. I'm not saying that truffles should be eaten daily for lunch, but if you're looking for a special gift for someone who loves chocolate - or for yourself!! - these defnitely fit the bill.

Enjoy!
