Welcome back to the BellaOnline Women’s Fashion newsletter! I hope you’ve all had a fantastically fashionable summer and are ready for a great new season of style. The global fashion weeks have past (almost) and many of you with your fingers on the fashion pulse will have already written your Autumn/Winter shopping list with your credit card poised at the ready.

Think leather coats, funky military jackets, lots of purple, gorgeous ankle boots, waist belts, macs and high-waisted skirts – make sure you look and feel fabulous this season and happy shopping!
LONDON FASHION WEEK 2007
Quite often viewed as the scruffy little sister of NY Fashion Week, this year it was definitely London making the waves in the fashion world. With front rows filled with celebrities and top designers, not to mention the Queen Bee of fashion, US Vogue Editor Anna Wintour, LFW proved that the British capital still has lots offer. Read this review of the Amanda Wakeley show, offering stylish ladies a very wearable, sensual and feminine collection for spring 2008 – think gorgeous, silk-printed kaftans, body-hugging shift dresses and cool slouchy macs:
THE WOMEN’S FASHION BAROMETRE OF COOL: Autumn Coats
Women’s Fashion LOVES: Leather. It’s smooth, chic, sexy and a little bit naughty! Be achingly on-trend this season and invest in a cropped leather jacket – go for bomber or nipped-in tailoring and wear with skinny jeans or straight-leg trousers and feel like a rock chick this season.
Women’s Fashion LOATHES: Cagoules. No, no and no. No sensible waterproof coats allowed this season, ladies! Unless you’re going for a wet walk in the countryside, cagoules are off limits this Fall – instead choose practical, shower-proof macs cinched with a thick waist belt placed over the top. If you can’t quite afford a new winter coat yet, try belting up an old one for an instant style injection and leave the sticky cagoule in the back of the closet.
