The main interface of the Nintendo Wii is divided up into channels. One of the more important channels is the Mii channel, where you set up gaming profiles.

You choose male or female, and then get into the avatar creation. You have a bunch of options here!



You can choose the skin tone, hair style, eyebrow shape, eyes, nose, mouth, even height and body shape.



You choose your favorite color, put in a name for the Mii plus the name of the real person - and then your birthdate. Voila! You now have a Mii profile.

This profile can be saved on your console or in your remote controller. This is great, because if you go visit friends who have a Wii, you just take your controller along and you now have your profile there to play games with them and to save your scores.

When you play games, your high scores are all saved with your profile. You can track your high scores on a daily basis and work to improve your skills. The system lets you send messages to other profiles, and some games even let you communicate over the internet with your friends!
