Monsters, Inc on Blu-ray and DVD

Disney-Pixar’s Monsters, Inc., directed by Peter Docter, is now available in a 4-Disc Combo Pack on Disney's Blu-ray and DVD. With a great voice cast of Billy Crystal, John Goodman, and James Coburn, and on Blu-ray, Monsters, Inc. is just as fun to watch now it was when it originally hit theatres.

I’m sure that most of you already know the story behind Monsters, Inc.. However, just in case you've been living under a rock, I’ll give you a brief synopsis.

The story takes place in the city of Monstropolis, full of monsters and powered by a company called Monsters, Inc.. The company has countless doors, which act as portals to human childrens' closets. Some monsters, called “scarers,” use these doors to scare children and capture their screams, which is used as energy to power the entire city of Monstropolis. The “scarers” must remember to avoid any physical contact with children in the human world, as they are considered toxic. Unfortunately, Monsters, Inc. and Monstropolis are faced with a problem. Screams aren’t as plentiful as they use to be as children have become less and less afraid of monsters, which is causing a huge problem when it comes to powering the city and preventing blackouts.

One day, Monster’s Inc.’s top scarer, Sulley, finds a door left unattended and active on the “scream floor.” When he looks in the door, he finds that no one is in the bedroom. It’s not until he returns to the monster world that he discovers that an unexpected little visitor has followed him: a human little girl named Boo. In an attempt to avoid monster-wide panic and, according to law, her destruction, Sulley and Mike disguise Boo until they can return her back to her bedroom. But, before they can do that, Boo’s presence is known throughout Monstropolis, and all heck breaks loose, alerting the CDA (Child Detection Agency). If things weren’t bad enough for Mike, Sulley and Boo, an unexpected scheme makes returning Boo back home even more complicated.

With vibrant colors and an even sharper and crisper picture, Monsters, Inc. is totally amazing. You can actually see the movement of the fine hairs on Sulley. This is one of Pixar’s best films with regard to its characters and storyline. It doesn’t matter how old you are, anyone and everyone will love Monsters, Inc. Moreover, if you already do, that’s fine too because you will be amazed with how Blu-ray makes the movie even more enjoyable.
