I can remember learning about explorers searching for a Northwest Passage in school. Where it was, or what it was, I had since forgotten. Well, news of the polar ice cap of our continent melting, and opening this passage for good has been pretty evident lately. Discussions for control of, mapping and how it could change the very currents of the oceans of our world are evident. Here's the article for this week.

The fabled Northwest Passage. Could there be a route, through the waters of the Arctic Ocean that would allow goods to move back and forth without having to sail around South America? How would this route affect Alaskans?
