Alaska

February 26 2012 Alaska Newsletter

It's all about the dogs. I've watched video on the last three years of Iditarod and it truly is about the dogs. The teams check into stops and want to see the condition of the dogs on the team in front of them. The year Lance Mackey won his 3rd in a row, Jeff King was quoted as saying "I knew when I saw his dogs, I was in trouble. They looked as fresh as they did pulling out of Anchorage on day 1!" To the naysayers of the dog treatment, they really haven't watched the mushers with their dogs. This is going to be great fun starting next week!

Dogs of the Iditarod
The Iditarod Race is about the dogs! The race was created to remind us of their importance, endurance and dependability. Most of the dogs used are bred for racing!
