I recently finished a book about the Aleutian Campaign of World War II by Alaska author Jim Rearden. If you aren’t familiar with any of his books, I highly recommend him! He’s lived in Alaska for over 50 years and during that time has researched and written books and articles on a variety of Alaskan historical topics, mainly through the lens of specific individual’s experience. His writing is accessible and personable and a great way to get an intimate look at Alaska.

This week’s article is a review of Rearden’s Forgotten Warriors of the Aleutian Campaign.
