Dear Readers,

Forgive my slight delay in sending out this weekly newsletter. The weather here has been glorious – lots of sunshine and warm – and so I have spent more time outside. This past week it got above 50 F one afternoon – very warm for March.

There are lots of small towns in Alaska. Each one has a unique character, created by a combination of its landscape, weather, and residents. It would be impossible to visit all the small towns in Alaska. Fortunately, there are writers like Heather Lende to share their perspective of their communities.
