Dear Readers,
April is here! One would hardly guess it from the amount of snow on the ground. At this time last year I was planting lettuce in the hot frames – which are still completely buried in the snow this year. One advantage, though, is that I am still able to run the dogs every day, albeit for short trips In the warmer temperatures (20-30° F) they can quickly overheat.
The last races of the season are happening this weekend, with the Kobuk 440 up in the northwestern part of the state and the Taiga 300 just “down the road” from here. Spring racing wrapped up last weekend with the Tok Race of Champions. Winter is coming to an end, and spring is just around the corner. I think everyone is ready.
Have a great week,
Kimi
