A glass of May Punch, Maibowle, made from fresh Sweet Woodruff and white wine, is one of the popular Maytime traditions in Germany, joining the month’s Maypoles, Walpurgisnacht and other annual festivals and celebrations.

Sold, and enjoyed, throughout the country during its brief two month season, it is easy to make and an ideal beverage for a warm spring evening, while the non-alcoholic version is a refreshing daytime drink.
