May 26 2010 Alaska Newsletter

It is almost Memorial Day, we are seeing more and more motor homes and tour buses on the highway each day, the trees are green and the skies (today anyway) are blue! I pronounce it summer! Let the fun begin!

If you are in the mood for a little "Alaskan humor", check out the book review I added recently. I am not real sure about listing it as a book review, since Chad has twenty books out to date and each one is unique and wonderful in its own right. Maybe I should have said "books" review? Each large, colorful soft-cover book is a compilation of his many comic strips and individual cartoons - he is a very talented artist as well as a wacky comedian. I've met him - he really is both of those things and a nice guy as well.

Here's the latest article from the Alaska site at BellaOnline.com.

TUNDRA, by Chad Carpenter - a book review
The world of newspaper comic strips changed forever when Chad Carpenter discovered his natural talent for art and comedy and combined them into the now well known and much loved “TUNDRA” comic strips.
