Greetings from BellaOnline's Organization site!

Summer is officially upon us! Though the Memorial Day weekend weather here in San Francisco was anything but summery (think chilly, windy, and foggy), there was definitely a sense of calmness in the air and the promise of warmer days ahead. (Slightly warmer, at least!)

Way back when, proper etiquette had it that you should NEVER wear white before Memorial Day, or after Labor Day, and that you also had to be conscious of when you donned things like linen, seersucker, sandals, wool, and other traditionally seasonal garb. These days, the rules on what to wear when are much looser, thank goodness. But there's still something to be said for looking at your wardrobe with a critical eye every now and then. This week's article can help you do just that:

Organize Your Closet With a Dose of "What Not to Wear"
Use the tips demonstrated on the TV show "What Not to Wear" to make sure the clothes in your wardrobe fit, are flattering, and show off your best self. As a bonus, you'll wind up with a more organized closet! Here's how.

If you've seen "What Not to Wear," you know that the hosts practice a lot of tough love with their guests. And sometimes that's the most effective tool to use when it comes to making decisions about what gets to stay in our lives (and our closets) and what doesn't. If you're ready to give your own stuff some tough love, read about the organizing challenge I recently set forth:

An Organizing Challenge
Are you ready to get rid of what's been weighing you down, causing you stress, taking up too much space in your life, or otherwise preventing you from making the most of your life? Then take my organizing challenge and kick-start some positive changes.

Though the original challenge is officially over, it's never too late to get started. If you'd like to share your successes and snags as you work through the challenge-or if you simply want a way to communicate with your fellow readers—visit the Organization Forum and post your thoughts.

As always, you can find dozens more organizing ideas, tips, product reviews, forum discussions, and recommendations on the BellaOnline Organization site, www.bellaonline.com/site/organization. Think of it as your virtual organizing assistant.

My best to you,
