Dear Readers,
The past week has flown by. Summer seems to do that in Alaska, as we all bustle about trying to complete projects that can’t be done during the cold, dark days of winter. Fortunately we have plenty of daylight! As the summer solstice approaches, dark nights are merely a whisper. In Chistochina, well south of the Arctic Circle, the sun dips below the horizon every night – but not far enough for darkness and stars. Even in the middle of the night (clock-wise) there is plenty of light to work outside in the garden. Or go fishing.
If you can’t come up here to fish, I hope you’ll enjoy this article about our salmon.
Salmon in Alaska
Mention wild Pacific salmon and most will think of Alaska´s pristine waters.
