July 28 2010 Literary Fiction Newsletter

Whew, summer's almost over already! I'm heading down to Florida in a few days to bask in some sunshine...if the weather reports are inaccurate, that is. I'll be enjoying my reading, either way! My current read is going right along with me: "Orwell: Wintry Conscience of a Generation" by Jeffrey Meyers, an excellent biography on one of the most mysterious yet influential writers of 20th century Europe.

To keep you busy reading, here are the latest articles on literary fiction from the Literary Fiction site @ BellaOnline.com:

"Review - Dr. Faustus"
A review of the story that first explored what it means to sell one's soul to the devil.

We have some great discussions starting up on the Forums, too!

- Deb is looking for reading recommendations. Give her your idea of a great book on the "Recommendations" thread.

- There's a brand new POLL too! Stop by the "Historical Movements" thread and weigh-in on your favorite literary time period, whether its Elizabethan, Renaissance, Post-modern, or Contemporary. I want to know!

I hope to hear from you sometime soon, either in the forum or in response to this email message. I thrive on your feedback!

Have fun finishing up your summer in BookLand!
