September 17 2006 Genealogy Newsletter

Hi...Hope this newsletter finds everyone safe and having the Best of Luck in their research. Want to share my find this week. I found my 2nd great grandfather!!! I am so excited. I have been looking, along with other researchers, for years. He was right there, but I never saw it til this week...I know he was just ready to be found! Very excited, so don't give up. Those brick walls can be smashed down!

Hope everyone is having a great success with their family newsletter. Share your success in our forum:

Here are the articles for this week:

I'll keep the "getting started" newsletters up one more week:

Getting Ready for Fall in your Newsletter:

For those of you who have some extra time, volunteer to help others in their genealogical endeavors:

I am working on a future article on Disasters and how we might prepare to protect our genealogy work and documents. Want to help? Here are 10 questions you can email me back. Thanks!

The last few weeks have been sad with the passing away of Steve Irwin. His shows were a regular at our home; my husband really enjoyed his energy and love of the wildlife. His passing really made me think of my own life; would I be remembered if I died as Steve would. We all need to realize the importance of leaving something behind for our descendants to know us by.

There are a couple more months til Christmas...Great gift idea to work on is to print out your family pedigree and frame it... If you are pretty good at the research, give a gift certificate for genealogy research!

Feel free to send this email to your friends and family. Come and join us in the forum and tell us how your research is going!
