LDS Families

May 29 2008 LDS Families Newsletter

I will be leaving next week for Peru. I'm very excited at the prospect of seeing old friends again.

Years ago, for Family Home Evening, we planted our garden. Prior to the 'activity' we taught the children about the Law of the Harvest...you reap what you sow. I showed my young children carrot seeds and asked them, "If you plant carrot seeds, what do you get?"

"Carrots," my oldest answered.

"If you plant bean seeds, what do you get?" I asked.

"Beans!" my oldest burst out.

"If you plant corn seeds, what do you get?"

Our youngest son was getting the hang of it and excitedly waved his hand to answer the question so I let him.

"Corn dogs!" he blurted.

For all the corn-dog loving gardeners out there, here's the latest article from the LDS Families site at BellaOnline.com.
