EDITOR-RECOMMENDED BOOK
Alias Grace, by Margaret Atwood
This is a must-read novel. I first got introduced to this novel while doing a Canadian Literature course during my undergrad, and i instantly fell in love with Atwood. Prior to this i had not read any book by her, i had only just heard 'rumors' about how good she was. The book is somewhat of a true life story based on real-life events -the murders of Thomas Kinnear and his housekeeper in 1843- but with Atwood's own fictional twist and additional characters. I couldn't believe how much i fell in love with Atwood's writing style, i thought for sure I'd despite it, or feel indifferent at least. It's a must-read for those who love Atwood but haven't read this one yet, and for those who've never read any of her works. This is the perfect initiation book into the Atwood fans club! Check your local library for the book, or you can get it here at Amazon bookstore - http://www.amazon.ca/Alias-Grace-Margaret-Atwood/dp/0770428495. Enjoy!
EDITOR-RECOMMENDED RANDOM FUN ACTIVITY
Visit your local zoo this weekend. The weather is getting so beautiful (well for those of us in usually cold countries!), and it's time to start planning summer activities with friends, family, kids, and others. Plan a visit to the zoo this weekend or the next; no one ever gets bored in the zoo, is what i believe. There are so many animals to see, so many pictures to take, so many things to learn about nature, animals, and even about ourselves. So visit the zoo this weekend, take your kids, go with your spouse, a friend or group of friends, you'll be amazed at how much you'll enjoy it, that's a promise! Do it. This week.
As always, I appreciate your visits to the LiteraryFiction.bellaonline.com site and i greatly enjoy your feedback! Please visit again for even more great content about Literary Fiction.
