Hello Literary Fiction Readers,
Just a quick update this week. Finally finished reading Matches by Alan Kaufman. For the most part it was an educational experience. It's a story about and American Jew who spends his time in the Israeli army. It was a difficult read on many levels especially since my reading seemed to coincide with Israel's recent turmoil. What ruined it for me were the in depth side stories about a sea of rotting horses, cutting off the ears of a dog and feeding it to him, and the horse that fell on a land mine. By the time I finished it I was just happy it was over. If you have any sensitivity to animals being hurt, skip it.
Next on the agenda: The Mercy of Thin Air by Ronlyn Domingue. If you've read it drop by the forum and let me know what you thought. Ronlyn has an official website if you want to stop by http://www.ronlyndomingue.com .
