GERMANY'S WINDOW BOX AND BALCONY GARDEN CULTURE


Temperatures are dropping, long sleeved sweaters have replaced T-shirts, and this weeks article is a topical one, because the arrival of autumn means it is time for the seasonal makeover of Germany's traditional window boxes.

At the moment garden centres are filled with customers seeking 'something different' for this years cold weather months as, summer and winter, colourful plant and flower filled containers are used to decorate everything, from high rise city apartment blocks and old fashioned country farm houses, to door steps and window ledges of homes and businesses in narrow shaded streets.
