In the last tutorial, we finished the web banner. Now, you are ready to optimize it with the Adobe(R) Save for Web optimizing feature. This Save for Web feature in Illustrator(R) works much the same way as it does in Photoshop(R).

We are working on your web banner in Adobe(R) Illustrator(R) CS2. We first added the gradient background and then embedded images, previously created in Photoshop(R), to the banner. Now we will add some text to the banner.

You may need to add to your Illustrator(R) project a graphic previously created in another graphics program such as Photoshop(R). You can choose to embed or link to your second image. We will discuss the embed option.
