About the BellaOnline American Regional Cuisine Editor

Welcome!

I’m so glad you’re checking me out here. I have always had a passion for food and presentation with the emphasis on fun and flair. We all love to eat wonderful foods and cooking and baking can and should be a joyful experience to tempt our taste buds for the yumminess of our efforts.

Imagine a beefy stew that’s been simmering all day filling your home with the warm side of winter, served in a fresh wheat bread bowl (that you whipped up in the bread machine you´ve been meaning to use again or from your favorite bakery) on those pretty dishes that sit in your china cabinet that you´re grandmother gave you. Add a side dish of native steamed and lightly seasoned veggies on a bed of watercress. This heartwarming meal is healthy, attractive and most importantly, hearty and delicious. This is the vision I’d like to share with you as we journey across America learning, preparing, presenting and indulging in the wonderful cuisine that spreads across the various regions of our continent.

My inspiration came as a young child as I would watch my mother create and artfully display even the simplest of foods as our family gathered in and around the table of our home. Born and raised a “New England” girl, Maine, Connecticut and Massachusetts were home to my restaurants and catering businesses. I have two kids that I´m crazy about along with their friends that call me "mom" too and I love it. I see with both my children the love they also have for food, friends and family and how wonderful it is when we all get together for the holidays, birthdays or simply burgers on the grill.

I have owned, prepared, consulted, designed and authored. My hope is that I can bring some of that knowledge, fun and flair into your homes and your families. If you’re a family of one, I hope these recipes and ideas prompt you to invite a special someone or a group of friends over, have everyone pitch in with the theme! And families, with our busy schedules, maybe we can rope the gang together for a night. Either way I’d like to deliver recipes that will be fun, clear and easy to prepare. If you ever have any questions or ideas for me, please feel free to e-mail me.

Happy cooking and I hope you had plenty of opportunities to smile today!
