Vanilla ice cream is the staple of summer. Just about everyone loves ice cream, and if they find vanilla too plain, it's super easy to add in strawberries, blueberries, or other treats to it. I *love* vanilla ice cream, although in my case I often add in those chocolate bits :)
3/4 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup half-and-half
1/2 cup Splenda
1/4 cup ice cold water
1/2 tsp vanilla
Mix all thoroughly and put it into your ice cream maker. Turn on and watch for about 25 minutes - it should slow to a halt when it's thick enough.

You can double the recipe if you'd like to make enough for four!
* If you use Splenda in packets, be sure to adjust accordingly! The packets are a different level of sweetness compared to normal bulk Splenda.

I have a Cuisinart ice cream maker, and I really recommend it. I have given several to friends as gifts. It's super easy to use, and a snap to clean.
