Hemorrhoids or Piles

Hemorrhoids are swollen or ruptured veins around the rectum and anus. They may itch or bleed and are generally painful.

Hemorrhoids are caused by excessive pressure on abdominal muscles. This can come from constipation, when straining to force a bowel movement, from pressure during pregnancy (especially if you’re constipated too) or from the stress of improper lifting of heavy objects.
