The creator of the Spot books is Eric Hill. Hill illustrates and writes the series, too. Spot is a yellow puppy with brown spots. He has many adventures and new experiences to which kids relate.
Children love to learn with Spot. Together, they learn the basic concepts necessary to become strong readers. In the lift-the-flap board books, they learn colors, shapes, numbers, opposites and more. Since the books are for children between the two and five-years-old, they learn to count from one to ten. Spot’s First Words contains many words the beginning reader needs to know.
Spot’s learning books are popular in the home and at school. The words are in large, black print. Sentences are short and simple. Objects on the pages are large and colorful. This makes it easy for children to see and understand.
