The Weeks Prompt is 'Mystery' ~ God's Mysteries

This week’s prompt is ‘mysteries’ with emphasis on the fifth definition. Whether you are a believer or not, these daily prompts will challenge you to know what you believe. Most of the time mysteries are left ‘unknown’ but mysteries of God can be found and grasped with the help of His Spirit. Take this journey and see if you can find any answers to the mysteries of God.

First let us review the actual definition for the word mystery:

mystery >noun (pl. mysteries)

1.... something that is difficult or impossible to understand or explain.
2.... secrecy or obscurity.
3.... a novel, play, or film dealing with a puzzling crime.
4.... (mysteries) the secret rites of an ancient or tribal religion.
5.... chiefly Christian Theology a religious belief based on divine revelation.
6.... an incident in the life of Jesus or of a saint as a focus of devotion in the Roman Catholic Church.

-ORIGIN Greek musterion, related to mystic.
