Apple Ginger Juicing Shake Smoothie Recipe
Ginger is incredibly healthy for you, and is praised in many cultures. This apple ginger juice incorporates broccoli, cauliflower, and celery for a good meal plan.
The ingredient list shows the weights so you can see how I calculated the nutrition. You don't have to match them exactly :) You can put your own weights into the excel spreadsheet to determine your exact nutrition of your version!
small handful grapes - 38g
1/2 green apple - 89g
1 stick celery - 37g
3 baby carrots - 42g
2 handfuls Vegetable Medley blend - 136g
handful spinach - 31g
grape sized ginger, sliced - 4g
1 cup coconut almond milk - 209g
1 tsp flaxseed
1/2 scoop whey protein powder - 12g
Start with the wetter things - put the grapes, apple, and celery stick into the blender. Add in the carrots. If you don't have the Vegetable Medley blend it has carrots, broccoli, and cauliflower in it, so you can make your own mix of those three ingredients. Add a handful of spinach, and the ginger. Pour in the coconut almond milk, flaxseed, and whey protein powder.
Blend it up, and enjoy! We made this early in the morning and I had it late in the evening, and it was delicious. So it lasts through the day. I did store it in the fridge of course :).
This makes two pint glasses of shake, and my cost per serving is $1.38 a shake.

calories - 124.3
fat - 2.3g
cholesterol - 10.9g
sodium - 155
total carb - 17.9g
fiber - 4.1g
net carb - 13.8g
protein - 7.1g
vitamin C - 67%
So you probably don't want to do this one if you're in induction, but for most people this is quite fine, at under 14g a serving. There's a lot of nutrition packed into here.
Cost-wise, the most expensive part is the veggie blend. If you can make your own veggie blend for less money by buying in bulk, that can drastically reduce the cost.
For sugar / carbs, the largest issue here is the green apple.
