Healthy Habit Suggestions

To stimulate your imagination and jog your memory, here are examples of some healthy habits you might consider taking on:
  • Practice the art of appreciation

  • Keep agreements (or responsibly change them)

  • Be committed to maintaining positive feelings

  • Visualize a happy successful future

  • Acknowledge others whenever appropriate

  • Speak with good purpose

  • Practice good time management

  • Be on time for appointments

  • Smile and laugh whenever possible

  • Drive safely and maintain car(s)

  • Have a place for keys and keep them there

  • Brush and floss teeth daily

  • Practice deep breathing

  • Get plenty of sleep and rest

  • Drink eight glasses of pure water everyday

  • Maintain a light/right diet - low in calories/high in nutrition

  • Eat low glycemic high fiber (25-40 grams daily)

  • Exercise moderately for at least ½ hour a day

  • Replace saturated and trans fats with essential fats

  • Eat 5 to 9 servings of colorful fruits & veggies each day

  • Keep good financial records and balance check book(s)

  • Pay off credit cards each month (“0” balance)

  • Make the best of each day and every situation
