Lately, I've really noticed the Law of Attraction working in my life. In a very literal sense.
A few weeks ago I wrote "Attract More Clients," and began offering the "Attract More Clients Program" which has some similar elements to "The Attraction Program" by Thomas Leonard, which I'm licensed to present and use with my clients. (I had used it with great success with clients of Creative Waters & MegMoves.com, previous coaching ventures of mine.) It was time to bring the Law of Attraction and Abundance into my business, full force.
Then I wrote "The First Step in Attracting More Clients," "Attract Success" and the "How Well Do You Attract Success?" quiz. It was a loose theme for the end of August.
One day, I was searching BellaOnline for other writers who wrote articles about the Law of Attraction, and used those words in the search box. I quickly read one titled "Law of Attraction" but realized I was late to meet a friend for lunch, and darted out the door."
Later that day, I had time before I was meeting my dinner date and decided to go get a snack. I went to a huge grocery store, that has the largest selection of organic produce nearby. I walked in a different door, and slipped through an empty register lane and was facing the book & magazine section. I'd never looked through it before, so decided to walk through and see what I see. I didn't get a foot down the aisle before my eyes caught the title "The Law of Attraction."
Whoa. I experienced tingles all over. So... I picked up the book; there was only one, and this one seemed to get my attention right away. I opened to a random page and my eyes fell on the words, "Giving Thought to it, Invites it." I giggled audibly and got a look from a guy in the paperback section, down the aisle.
I thumbed back to the Forward of the book, by "Conversations with God" author Neale Donald Walsch. I seemed to zoom in on the words: "... right now, look at what you're holding in your hands. You Did That. You put this book right here, right where it is, right in front of your eyes. You manifested it, out of the clear blue sky."
At this point I was beginning to think... "possibly, well maybe I did. I mean there was only one copy, and it seemed to really want me to pick it up." I didn't have much time, and really didn't have the expendable income that I should be buying books at the time. But with all the coincidences, I felt I should take it home with me. So, I bought it.
A Little Background on the Authors
Did you know that Jerry and Esther Hicks (and Abraham) were originally one of the main components of what became "The Secret" movie?
It's true. There are two versions of "The Secret," one that was supposed to be a TV mini series in New Zealand. And the one that was ultimately released with some changes. Including editing out all of the Hicks' scenes at their request. After watching "The Secret" and digging for more information I found out about the two versions and the removed footage.
I think where the Hicks lose some folks, and I'll admit I'm still skeptical, is with the claim that Esther is a medium who channels Abraham, a group of spirits from the other side. I mean, I was raised Catholic, and we're taught to not believe in certain things - but I am open in heart and in mind, so I wont let that deter me from giving something a plausible shot.
Their story, and the story of why they are "The Secret behind 'The Secret'" are pretty fascinating, at any rate.
So, I'm reading the book. A little a day. And giving mindfulness to what I want to attract.
I'm really noticing things, opportunities, words, coming to me, in a near effortless manner.
My Affirmation: "I have more money and abundance than I will ever need." - I remembered that one from one of the early Suze Ormon specials.
My Result: A new website editing gig with a MAJOR name client. Seriously, you know the brand. *whine* But I can't tell you!
My Affirmation: "I want more newsletter subscribers - I want to reach 100."
My Result: Almost there. I think I'm hovering around 98-99. I have a few bouncebacks to remove, which will drop me down a few, but soooo close. (Wanna sign up?)
My Affirmation: "I want to bring my coaching & geek services to those who are afraid they can't afford it."
My Result: Tons of freebies that I post to my blog, including one that rewards new folks trying out per-minute coaching their money back PLUS a gift certificate for more free stuff from CenterOfMuse.com.
My Affirmation: "I need to slow down a bit."
My Result: I got a cold. :)
My Affirmation: While I was home sick, I also got insomnia, prompting me to watch more TV in one day than I normally do all week. I saw a woman entrepreneur who talked about her new invention & budding business and I thought, "I want to interview her."
My Result: I emailed her asking for an interview and got it!
My Affirmation: "Ok, I'm ready to go."
My Result: Another new client lead.
Overall, I have always believed some form of "the thoughts we think and the words we speak create our reality." By becoming mindful of it and full of intention with it, I'm really seeing the results come forth.
My wish for sharing my results with you is to inspire you to be mindful of what you want to draw into your life.
