Journaling Tools ~ Physical

Journaling Tools ~ Physical
When we hear the word ‘tools’ we think of physical instruments needed to complete a task. If you are building a house one of the tools you need is a hammer, right? However, there are many different types of tools besides the ‘physical' ones. I break them down into these categories ~ physical, circumstantial and emotional.

This week we will deal with the 'physical' aspect of journaling tools

Physical
To begin journaling the physical tools can be minimal to maximum. You can start with loose notebook paper and a pencil if that is all you have. So my list will be suggestions more than rules. Below is a list of some tools that will be helpful for your journaling:

▸ Notebook & loose paper, or bound journal, or online journaling software (private and not a BLOG!)

▸ Writing Instrument ~ pen is recommended so you will not have the ability to erase!

▸ Highlighters ~ NOT required but handy to have around

That's about it! Simple, right? A lot will depend on who you are and what you like. There are many choices for the notebook. You can purchase a lined or blank page journal, small or large, leather or paper, loose leaf or daily. Anything you choose is great because you will find that as you journal your type of journal to use will become clear.

Journaling software is another great tool for those who would like the privacy the computer brings. There are online journaling applications, such as https://www.g-journal.com, as well as downloadable journaling applications. Another choice is using your personal computer to setup some kind of journaling atmosphere. I personal like the online journaling applications because their search engines are more powerful and after a few years of journaling you need a search engine.

There is no need to obtain a dictionary or grammar tool as punctuation is not what you are going to be looking at. However, you will want to consider how to organize your journals. Knowing how to journal with some organization will help the process of locating a specific entry easier. This is why many are going to online journaling. Online journaling can also assist you with your organization.
