The Angel Bible: The Definitive Guide to Angel Wisdom by Hazel Raven is a great place to start if you are new to working with the angels, yet it has enough depth within it to interest those who have read books by other popular authors and want to know more. It is in the same series as the best-selling Crystal Bible by Judy Hall. Hazel Raven is best known in the UK as one of our foremost teachers and writers in the field of Crystal Healing. She also teaches Angel Therapy here and in the USA.

There has been a huge upsurge in interest in Angels recently. People have started to realise that they can call directly on angelic help and guidance and that these beings really do exist and can help us if asked. The Angel Bible will give you the confidence to work safely with these powerful beings. Hazel avoids treating angels as if they are ‘fluffy’ and explores the many facets of Angel Therapy with integrity and respect.

The Angel Bible is split into many useful sections that are colour coded at the page edges. It is the sort of book you can happily dive in and out of. Although I’ve had it, referred to it and browsed through it for over six months I am still coming across new exercises. I find that I can open the book at the ‘right place’ when I need help or guidance and the appropriate angel or exercise will be there.

The book is packed with information, meditations and practical exercises, many of which are hard to find elsewhere and quite profound. Guidance is given on invoking angels, setting up an angel altar and other methods to invite angels and receive their messages in your everyday life. Personally I found the section on angels within the Kabala, most illuminating. Hazel explains this complex topic in an accessible way and includes practical and powerful exercises.

I’ve been aware of angelic helpers in my healing work for quite some time now, but have never had a ‘physical sign’ that they are with me. Since buying the book I’ve received my first ‘angel feather’ a beautiful large pure white feather with silky plumes. It came just as I was discussing a thorny issue involving someone who’d been draining my energy and with whom I had to draw stronger boundaries. As I was talking my companion bent down and picked this feather up, sparkling clean from the muddy ground, saying ‘this is for you’. The timing was perfect and made me realise that I was taking the right actions and that I didn’t need to feel so bad about it. It sits on my personal altar now.
