Ivan, the Eclectus Jigsaw Puzzle

Guest Author - Mavis Metcalf

Ivan, the Eclectus shows off his beautiful colours in this picture taken by Gwen Toews of Toews Parrot Place, that I have made into a jigsaw puzzle.

As always, you can make this harder (or easier) by changing the shape and number of pieces and you may have to scroll over to get the whole puzzle in your computer window.

Click here to send this picture as a postcard.

Eclectus Parrots are sexually dimorphic, which means you can tell the males from the females just by looking at them. Eclectus are easier to tell than most other birds because they don't even look like the same species. At one time, it was thought that they were different species. The males, like Ivan here are mostly green and the females are mostly red.

Here are some fun Eclectus items that you can find at amazon.com. Of course, you can also find some great books there as well.
