September Journaling Prompts
September 15 is … Felt Hat Day
This is a very unusual day just by the name of it. Write about how you ‘felt’ today as if you were wearing a hat for everyone to see. Write about how you felt and how you believe others see you. Do they see how you ‘feel?’

September 16 is … Stay Away From Seattle Day and Collect Rocks Day
Seattle must have way too many tourist or someone really did not like Seattle. Or maybe they just had a whole lot of rocks and now there are none to collect. Either way, write about the word ‘rock’ and all that it could mean or stand for.

September 20 is … National Punch Day
I believe this ‘punch’ is in reference to the drink and not an actual punch. However, write about the last thing (or person) you punched or wanted to punch. Punching the air even counts today!

September 21 is … World Gratitude Day and International Banana Festival
How does gratitude and bananas go together? And why are these the list of national days when they are actually world days? Write about what your national day would be.

What does ‘Dogs in Politics’ mean? Politics is a very touchy subject today. Spend a few minutes writing about politics and your views today. Have your views changed over the years? If yes, why?

September 24 is … Festival Of Latest Novelties
This is also not a national day but a festival. Write today about something that is novel in who you are. Then write about something novel in someone else.

Did you know that comic books are said to slow down reading comprehension? Not sure I believe this but there are stats that point to this. Write today about your favorite comic book character and why.

September 26 is … National Good Neighbor Day and National Pancake Day
I guess we could all invite our neighbors over for pancakes today but it might be better just to write about one of your neighbors. So few of us actually know our neighbors as those before us did. Write about what a neighbor is and how you could be a better neighbor.

September 27 is … Crush A Can Day
Crush a can day is interested, especially since bottles and plastics seem to have taken over the soda industry. Cans are now being replaced with small plastic bottles. Write about aluminum and how this simple product has enhanced your life over the years.

September 28 is … Ask A Stupid Question Day More
This should be a national day every day because we all ask stupid questions. I know many believe there are no stupid questions but there are. Like the questions we ask because we were not listening. Who would have every petitioned for this day? Write about poison and how it is used in the literary world. There is the poison pen, the poison apple, the poisoned thought and more. Poison does not always kill the body, but can also kill the heart and mind. Poison infects every pore of who we are if we allow it to.

September 30 is … National Mud Pack Day
When I traveled to Israel I brought back mud from the Dead Sea. Those I gave it to did not understand why I gave it to them until they used it. Mud is a very interesting item. We all want to wash mud away but in reality mud is very healing and cleansing. One of the suggestions for healing wounds in the wild is to cover yourself in mud and lay there for awhile before washing it away. Write about mud and how the mud in your life actually healed a part of you.
