A Happy Formula

According to Abraham Lincoln, “Most people are just about as happy as they make up their minds to be.” Do you think that’s true? Let’s check it out.

If you’re happy, you know it. Right? But, do you really know what makes you feel that way?

A pair of British researchers recently interviewed and studied a thousand people to try and discover a formula for true happiness. Needless to say – since “women are from Venus and men are from Mars”, the results showed what most of us already know - men and women find happiness in different ways from each other.

Here’s how. For women, as far as specific events go, being with their family, losing weight and sunny weather were most influential to their happiness. Whereas men were more happily influenced by hobbies, sex and victories of their favorite sports teams. Are you surprised? Probably not!
