"Not one person learns exactly the same as another. The school systems are set up as a place where everyone is required to learn the same thing at the same rate, in a given time span. Basically this is like putting square pegs into round holes-it won't work.
Add to this the problem of overcrowding in most school districts and you have a situation where the "different" learner is perceived to be below average. It is the educational processes of teaching and expected learning that is sub par, not the student.
Parents of visual spatial learners need to be pro-active when it comes to helping educators understand their children's needs.
