In light of the heated political debates, both on TV and in homes, streets, etc., here is an extra article for this week. I hope that we can pray for peace and embody it during these challenging times. Church leaders have asked us, if we're living in California to bolster traditional marriage by voting "Yes" to Proposition 8. But they have also taught us through the years to be kind in our verbiage with one another. Here's the latest article from the LDS site at BellaOnline.com.
The "Anger Response"
When faced with hateful acts, as Christians do we offer a gentle response or an angry one? http://www.bellaonline.com/articles/art59126.asp
I think it is important to pray within our families for soft and gentle answers with each other and those we may encounter outside the home. Satan desires to whip up heated emotions; may we have the strength to extend mercy to all during these turbulent times. Please pass this message along to family and friends, so that we can help each other with gentle words during this election season.
