Beer Fox Tip of the Week

With holiday dinners right around the corner, plan for a touch of elegance this year. Bieres Brut, Fruit Lambic and Saison all look appetizing in a champagne glass or grappa glass. You will be surprised how many people will be happy to accept this as an aperitif before dinner. A large tulip is a great all-purpose glass for many dinner beers. As the meal winds down, serve a bit of Russian Imperial Stout, Winter Ale, or Barley Wine in a brandy snifter. Just enough to allow the aromas to waft into the air. As the hand cradles the glass, it warms it enough to release all the complexity those beers hold. A touch of Scotch Ale or barrel aged ale is a wonderful digestif by a roaring fire. Comfort food!

Beer Fox Laugh of the Week

A guy took his blonde girlfriend to her first football game. They had great seats right behind their team's bench. After the game, he asked her how she liked it.

"Oh, I really liked it," she replied, "especially the tight pants and all the big muscles, but I just couldn't understand why they were killing each other over 25 cents."

Dumbfounded, her boyfriend asked, "What do you mean?"

"Well, they flipped a coin, one team got it and then for the rest of the game, all they kept screaming was... 'Get the quarterback! Get the quarterback!' I'm like...Helloooooo? It's only 25 cents!!!!"
