Greetings from Alaska!
One of the things I enjoy about Alaska in winter is the long slow hours of dawn and dusk, when the soft light paints the horizon in pastels. The daylight hours may be short (we have sunrise about 9:30 and sunset about 3:30 right now), but these glowing hours on either end are beautiful, as are the stars glittering in the cold night air.
If you’ve read my bio, you know I have a small recreational dog team. One of my first dogs died this fall, and I’ve written a short memorial article this week.
