Dear Readers,
As you may have remembered from last week’s newsletter, I was busy with Chistochina Fun Days last weekend. As promised, I’ve written about it and included a couple of pictures as well. I hope you enjoy learning a little bit about my hometown.
Chistochina Fun Days
Although it may look like like little more than a quiet spot on the road, Chistochina can be quite lively. Read on to find out why!

Many of you may know that the Iditarod starts this Saturday, March 1. A record number of mushers will be at the starting line this year and heading down the trail to Nome. I’m looking forward to following the race. The Iditarod Trail Committee is trying a new GPS tracking program this year to provide exact locations of mushers on the trail. Some are in favor, others are not – it’ll be interesting to see how things pan out. I’ve started an Iditarod thread in the discussion forum, so feel free to stop by and cheer on your favorite musher!
