Hi folks!
What a busy month August is turning out to be! In a couple of weeks I will be volunteering at the Palmer State Fair here in South central Alaska. I look forward to this every year. It is only one of FOUR State Fairs held in Alaska. Check out the new article I wrote describing all of the State Fair fun to be had across the state.
I am also busy, busy, busy finishing up my fair entries. I will be entering some of my home-spun skeins of yarn this year as well as a few photographs and a home-spun, hand-knit, needle-felted scarf - which will be a Christmas gift for my youngest grandson once I get it back after the fair.
The sun is out once again in Alaska this week and the greenery is at its mid-summer peak. Tour buses, moterhomes and those great double-decker Alaska Railway train cars are a constant on our local highways and byways. Tourists are definitely getting their money's worth on vacations this summer!
Here's the latest article from the Alaska site at BellaOnline.com.
State Fairs of Alaska
Alaska is so big it has FOUR State Fairs to give residents a chance to attend one! In a state over twice the size of Texas, multiple state fairs are the best way to solve distance and accessibility problems. State Fairs are held annually in Southeast, Interior, Kenai Peninsula and South central AK.

I'm currently running a game on the Alaska forum - how many Alaskan animals can you name using one letter of the alphabet at a time?!
I hope to hear from you sometime soon, either in the forum or in response to this email message. Your feedback is invaluable to me! Let me know what you enjoy hearing about or would LIKE to hear about.
Have fun passing this message along to family and friends. I would love to hear from them, too!
