Beer Fox Laugh of the Week:

Aging Mildred was a 93 year-old woman who was particularly despondent over
the recent death of her husband Earl. She decided that she would just
kill herself and join him in death.

Thinking that it would be best to get it over with quickly, she took out
Earl's old Army pistol and made the decision to shoot herself in the heart
since it was so badly broken in the first place.

Not wanting to miss the vital organ and become a vegetable and a burden to
someone, she called her doctor to inquire as to just exactly where the
heart would be.

"On a woman," the doctor said, "your heart would be just below your left
breast."

Later that night, Mildred was admitted to the hospital with a gunshot
wound to her knee.

Beer News:

ICBS Ltd. of Montreal, Quebec, Canada signed a letter of intent on August
30, 2006 to acquire Lake Placid Craft Brewing Company in Plattsburg, New
York, USA. Lake Placid Brewing celebrated its tenth year anniversary this
year.

LPCB gained national attention when, during his Presidency, Bill Clinton
requested a substantial delivery of Ubu Ale, Lake Placid's English Strong Ale,
for the White House after his enjoyment of the tasty brew.

ICBS purchased Ramapo Valley Brewery of Hillburn, New York, USA in June,
2006. In addition to a full line of year-round and seasonal beers, Ramapo
Valley brews Honey Passover Beer, a blue ribbon winner during the Gluten
Free Beer Festival in Chesterfield, England in February, 2006.

In mid-August, 2006, ICBS also signed a letter of intent to acquire Maska
Laboratories of Quebec, a firm that does microbiological analysis for the
beer, wine and food products industry.

With his great vision, President and CEO Garth McIntosh, of ICBS, has set
his sights on making "an impressive mark on the craft brewing industry."

Craft Brew of the Week Award:

Bell's Expedition Stout - Bell's Brewery Inc/Eccentric Cafe & Beergarden,
Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA

Style: Russian Imperial Stout

Lampblack India ink refuses to let any light through as a beautiful,
frothy sepia-tone head beckons you to come closer. As your nose nears the
glass, aromas of imported espresso, raisins, figs and chocolate fuse with
alcohol, engaging you in a seductive trance.

Velvet slides past the lips, enveloping your senses in charry malt
sweetness, rich coffee, dark fruits, wood and chocolate. Alcohol arises
at the last moment, with a satiating bitter bite at the back of the
throat.

Bold! Like I like my men!

Cheers!
