June 19 2006 French Culture Newsletter

Bonjour Tout le Monde,

Good day! I'm excited to share with you the first newsletter since my writership began last month. I've been busy chronicling my experiences in Paris and immersion into French culture. Also planned are articles on travel, trends, music, museums and French cuisine. If you'd like to know more about me, visit the homepage biography link.
Here are this month's featured articles:

Struggle to Speak French
Even the French will admit that their language is a difficult one to learn. Upon arriving in Paris, I lacked the ability to communicate and immediately set to building my vocabulary. Discover why taking the initiative to learn French is time well spent.

We Don't Say I Love You, It's Bisous!
Three little words that slip off my tongue with ease, I love you, prove to be disquieting to the family of my husband. Instead, they are replaced by the sweet, familiar French saying bisous.

Summer Festival Season in the Paris Area
As the glow of the sun burns the last crisp notes from June air, we know that summer has officially begun. The influx of festival season encourages us to congregate outdoors. I divided my weekend between Rueil´s Dixieland Jazz Festival and Arts de la Rue in neighbouring Nanterre.

Please visit to read more. I hope to hear from you sometime soon. Have fun passing this message along to family and friends who share your interests!
