Is Your School Giving Out Personal Info?
In Ventura County, California, a mother of elementary age children was shocked to learn that their names, addresses, phone numbers, and any contact information, were published in a school directory booklet, one that could fall into the wrong hands...
"Schools are not only places of education, it now seems that they are a social link for parents and students. The "giving out of personal information is unsound when it is for social groupings or activities. Putting personal info in a parents' booklet and making addresses, names of siblings, and phone numbers available to the general public is dangerous.
